Flexia Quick Start Challenge

Our essential class toolkit for nailing your first 7 days with your Flexia Smart Reformer.

 

If you’re new to Pilates or need a refresher, you’ll take the Intro to Pilates Challenge, and if you’re an experienced Pilates lover and ready to dive into classes right away, you’ll jump into the Transition to Flexia Challenge.  

 

Day 1:

If you’re new to Pilates, start here!  You’ve got two short video tutorials and a 30-minute workout today:

  • Find Your Fit: Learn how to adjust your reformer settings to fit your body.
  • Your Spine in Pilates: learn about the term “neutral spine” in Pilates and why it’s so important for your practice. 
  • Welcome to the Reformer: your first workout in the Flexia Online Studio! Join our Founder and CEO, Kaleen, in this 31min class to jumpstart your Pilates practice.

Day 2: 

Your new Flexia Reformer is so much more than a classic, studio-grade reformer. It has sensors beneath your carriage to track the Control, Consistency, and Speed of your movements during classes in the Flexia Online Studio.

  • In Class Metrics: learn what you’re looking at on-screen during classes in our Online Studio. 
  • Your Breath in Pilates: An introduction to breathing during your workout. This is often the finishing touch of your Pilates practice, but understanding this foundation early on will set you up for success. 
  • Kick Up the Heat: jump into class with Kaleen.

Day 3: 

Now that you know your way around your new Flexia Reformer and have crushed some classes, it’s time to dig a little deeper into our smart metrics.

  • After Class Report Card: learn how to interpret your metrics after class and get the most out of your new Smart Reformer.
  • Shoulder Positioning: let’s learn about your shoulder blocks on the reformer and where your shoulders should be when seated on all fours (it may surprise you!). 
  • Unwind: Post Work Flow: jump into a class with Kelsey

Today, we’re talking about finding your ideal body position while lying face down (aka prone) on the reformer and learning how to tap into that back body.

Day 6:

Today we’re talking about one of the more difficult Pilates exercises in our arsenal, the Roll Up. This exercise is part of Pilates’ classic mat foundations and easily translates to the reformer–but it can be much harder than it looks.

Let’s wrap your Quick Start Challenge strong! Here’s what we have planned for your final day:

  • Finding a Class: learn how to find your perfect class with us
  • Skill Based: Teaser: Kelsey breaks down one of Pilates’ most iconic exercises, the teaser, and how you can learn to master from the ground up.
  • Quick Athletic Flow: join Kaleen in this 20min full body flow that will stack all of your new skills together. This is your first intermediate class with us–score! 

CLASS NOTE: Remember to utilize your spring recommendations on the left-hand side of your class screen to toggle up for more of a challenge, or toggle down to bring down the heat. This intermediate class can meet you where you are!
