How to view the Online studio on your Television

Televisions and mobile devices use several different technologies to share screens. In order to see complete metrics during your Online Studio class, we suggest using Screen Mirroring on Apple devices and Screen Casting on Android devices.

Apple iPad and iPhones

Apple has different technologies to play videos from your phone to a TV. The technology we support is Screen Mirroring. Casting or Airplay will display the videos but you will not be able see the Online Studio metrics on your TV.  

On your Apple iPad or iPhone, swipe down from the top right corner, and a quick menu will pop up. You want to look for the two rectangles (Screen Mirroring). Tap the Screen Mirroring icon. (NOTE: You do not have to be in the studio to start Screen Mirroring.)

The Screen Mirroring menu will pop up. Select the TV you want to mirror to.

It is helpful to put your phone or tablet in landscape mode before starting a class. 

You can now launch the internet browser of your choice and navigate to the Online Studio to start a class.

 

Android Tablets and Phones 

On Android tablets and phones, we support a feature called Screen Casting, which allows you to display your entire phone screen onto your television. Screen Cast is not the same as casting used on Apple devices. 

On your Android tablet or phone, swipe down to open the notification screen, then swipe down again to reveal the list of Quick Options. Move to the second page of options and you will find an option titled Screen Cast — if you don't see it, tap the pencil icon in the lower-left and select it from the list of possible Quick Options.

Another menu will appear and your phone will search for a television. Once your desired television appears as a casting option, tap it to select.

You can now launch the internet browser of your choice and navigate to the Online Studio to start a class.
